We are seeking a highly skilled IT Recovery Centre Technician to join our team at Daisy Corporate Services. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our recovery centre, providing technical support to customers, and contributing to the delivery of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the recovery centre is always ready for operation, providing technical support to customers during rehearsals and live invocations.
- Manage all relevant documentation, attend pre-test meetings, and address post-invocation issues promptly.
- Travel to customer sites within the service area to provide support, coordinate new service implementations, and ensure IT and communications installations are correctly set up and on schedule.
- Provide vital assistance to other recovery centres within the region, particularly during multiple invocations, and maintain critical site facilities such as air conditioning, lighting, UPS systems, and generators.
- Participate in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support as needed, and receive a call-out allowance for the weeks you are on duty.
- Keep key documentation, such as the Technical Site Guide and Site User Guide, up to date, ensuring they remain accurate and useful.
- Prioritize health and safety, receiving first aid and fire marshal training to be fully prepared for emergency situations.
- Solid knowledge of IT and communications, with valuable client-facing experience and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Background in Intel/Windows desktop support, with familiarity with Symantec Ghost an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of networks, switches, routers, and Windows Server, along with exposure to voice and data communications.
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, complemented by a professional, flexible attitude and a hands-on approach.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota and valid UK Driving License.
