Job Summary:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing technical support for various software applications, assisting end users with technical issues, and helping maintain and improve IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve application support tickets for assigned application service, escalating complex issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues.
  • Help monitor application performance, identify issues, raise appropriate risks, and assist in implementing resolutions or improvements to the service.
  • Analyse application software subscriptions, performing regular access reviews to ensure our systems and data are secure and compliant with relevant standards and legislation such as GDPR & ISO27001.
  • Assist in the development of application roadmaps and implementation of projects, taking part in key software development lifecycle activities including design, testing, and implementation tasks.
  • Monitor and analyse system performance and capacity and provide recommendations for improving the application service.
  • Maintain application support policies and procedures to ensure adherence to ITIL standards.
  • Support user adoption in the delivery of product knowledge and training sessions to application user groups.

About the Role:
This role would suit someone who is passionate about ICT and IT solutions and is motivated to pursue a career within this technical field. We don't require individuals with experience as we will provide full training in all aspects of the role and ensure safe working practices. You will get a mobile phone and laptop. Although supported throughout the programme by us at Telent, you will need to take ownership of your tasks and personal development. You will need to be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally. It is ideal if the candidate has a basic understanding of IT systems, software applications, and troubleshooting methods.
