Job Summary:

The Tubular Inspection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the tubular inspection of equipment. This includes planning and organizing the details of these activities in line with the priorities set by the Inspection Service Line Lead and issuing relevant work instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Parker Drilling's Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with internal and external customer representatives to address enquiries, orders, and late deliveries.
  • Provide accurate quotations for customer enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Inspection Service Line Lead and Sales Manager to ensure growth and development of the Inspection department.
  • Develop detailed plans with the Inspection Service Line Lead to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and report on activities, providing relevant management information to the Inspection Service Line Lead.
  • Issue weekly reports on backlog and work in progress, including associated values.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Responsible for the management and development of department personnel.
  • Additional duties may be required within the job holder's area of competence to fulfill the company's needs.

Quality and Safety Accountabilities:

  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with Parker Drilling's Quality, Health Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Not undertake any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
  • Ensure the highest standard of workmanship produced is in accordance with company expectations and customer, regulatory standards, and specification.
  • Promote good health, safety, and environmental practices throughout all company activities.
  • Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment required.
  • Take care to prevent harm to themselves, colleagues, and others and the environment that may be caused by our acts or omissions.
  • Keep the work area neat, organized, and free of trip and other hazards.
  • Report hazards in plant, equipment, and other workplace, or shortcomings in existing controls, to a superior without delay.
  • Support continual improvement of the integrated management system by expressing better and safer ways to perform tasks and improve policies and procedures.
  • Participate in HSEQ training required to meet minimum identified for position undertaken.
  • Attend Toolbox Talks, HSEQ meetings, and trainings as and when required.

HSEQ Authority:

  • Report any unsafe behaviors to their immediate Supervisor or Safety representative. Where there may be conflict report directly to facility HSEQ Manager.
  • Authority on HSEQ grounds to stop operations or delivery of product on the existence of an immediate risk of harm to personnel or environmental pollution and damage to property.

Necessary Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent customer interaction/service skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiating skills.
  • Strong Verbal & Written English skills.
  • Product/Technical knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Cost Management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • TRACS.
