Job Description

Parker Drilling Company is seeking a highly skilled Tubular Inspection Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day activities of the tubular inspection of equipment. The successful candidate will plan and organize the detail of the above activities in line with the priorities set by the Inspection Service Line Lead and issue relevant work instructions for those activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all tubular inspection activities are carried out in compliance with company Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with external/internal customer representatives in relation to enquiries, orders, late deliveries etc.
  • Quotations and Planning: Provide accurate quotations for all customer enquiries in a timely manner and liaise with Inspection Service Line Lead and Sales Manager for customer calls to ensure growth and development of Inspection department.
  • Reporting and Management Information: Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information to the Inspection Service Line Lead.
  • Issue Weekly Report: Issue Weekly Report on backlog and work in progress together with associated values.
  • Meetings and Communication: Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Personnel Management: Responsible for the management and development of department personnel.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Effective communication and negotiating skills.
  • Product/Technical Knowledge: Product/Technical knowledge.
  • Microsoft Packages: Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • TRACS: TRACS.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, reason logically, and make sound decisions.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work as a team, communicate and interact with others in a professional manner, and consider alternative and diverse perspectives.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds, operate machinery and/or power tools, and wear personal protective equipment.
