Join Our Team as an Apprentice Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Maintenance Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment plants.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical maintenance, working with a range of plant and equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and determining the cause of faults, as well as carrying out planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and determine the cause of faults in mechanical plant and equipment
  • Carry out planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Work with mechanical systems to maximise efficiency
  • Position, assemble, install, and dismantle mechanical plant and equipment
What You Will Learn
  • Relevant industry health and safety standards, regulations, and environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Maintenance and operational practices, processes, and procedures covering a range of plant and equipment
  • How to diagnose and determine the cause of faults in mechanical plant and equipment
Apprenticeship Details

This apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in a mechanical maintenance role. You will be working towards the Utilities Engineering Technician (Mechanical pathway) standard, which is equivalent to A-Level qualifications.

During your apprenticeship, you will be working at our training centre in Birmingham, where you will be trained by our experienced instructors. You will also be working on-site at our water treatment plants, where you will be applying your new skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
