Role Overview

The First Line of Defense - Operational Resilience Governance & Policy Senior Consultant will support the Operational Resilience Program in developing, implementing, and maintaining Northern Trust's resilience strategy, governance, policies, standards & reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operational Resilience Stakeholders and Non-Financial Risk Function to develop and maintain the Operational Resilience Framework and supporting strategies.
  • Analyze and collectively manage resilience efforts to achieve business outcomes for the resilience program.
  • Engage with senior leaders and relevant SMEs across Business Units to set and own resilience frameworks, policies, standards, and reporting.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of resilience frameworks, policies, standards, and frameworks that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators across Operational Resilience aligned with key risk indicators as part of Northern Trust's overall risk appetite.
  • Identify, review, prioritize, monitor, and report on multiple capabilities, milestones, and tasks across the lines of business.
Requirements
  • A working knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations, e.g., ISO22301 and FCA/PRA/BoE and other country regulator publications in relation to Operational Resilience.
  • Several years' experience in Financial Services, with prior experience working specifically within operational resiliency.
  • Experience in managing related teams, setting team priorities, and allocating resources to align with business objectives.
  • Sigificant experience in Program Governance, Project Management, and Financial Services.
  • In-depth knowledge of business, technology, and risk management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change, self-motivation, and ability to independently drive results.
