Wigan, Wigan, United Kingdom Specsavers Full time
Overview:

As a leading optical retailer, Specsavers is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and providing high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team and contribute to this mission.

The successful candidate will have previous optical experience, preferably as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant, and be able to work independently. You will be responsible for listening to patients, giving advice, explaining suitable products, and understanding NHS procedures. Additionally, you will dispense lenses, carry out pre-screening examinations, take measurements, and maintain high standards of customer service.

This is a part-time position (40 hours per week, including one regular weekend day), with opportunities for additional hours for an experienced candidate. You will enjoy a range of benefits, including Specsavers Perks & Cash Back, staff discounts, and the chance to complete a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to a Level 3 BTEC. This will accelerate your optical career and provide a stepping stone to more senior roles, such as Dispensing Optician (DO) or Customer Lead Optician (CLO).

In return for your hard work, we offer a competitive salary of around £5,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits.
