About the Role

At EKFB, we are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Coordinator to join our Utilities Team near Buckingham.

The successful candidate will support the design interface between EKFB and HS2, ensuring Statutory Undertakers are delivered in a timely manner according to stakeholder requirements.

This involves interfacing with Utilities Construction teams, Design Managers, Coordinators, Temporary Works, Consents Managers, and other interested parties within EKFB. The coordinator will ensure designs align with project requirements, integrating reasonable needs.

A key aspect of this role is providing support to the EKFB Design and Engineering Manager and Designer in implementing the assurance regime according to the engineering and assurance plan.

The Utilities Coordinator will identify early warnings to mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities. They will manage change control, internal approvals through established processes while participating in the design review process.

The coordinator will provide guidance on aligning assurance deliverables with Client requirements, supporting the delivery of Design in accordance with the Programme. This role requires collaboration with the delivery team to ensure readiness for the Completions Process.

About You
  • A degree-level qualification in Project Management, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
  • SMSTS certification and independence from construction teams, EUSR Service Avoidance Category 1 & 2, or NVQ Level 2 in Utility Avoidance and Buried Services are necessary.
  • EUSR Category 2 or NRSWA Location and Avoidance of Underground Services (five-day course including modules S2, S3, S4, S5 & S7) is also required.
  • Knowledge of the HS2 Act, Assurance & PPA's, Utility Regulations to inform design, construction, and connection works with statutory undertakers is essential.
  • Knowledge of the CDM Principal Designer role is also necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • A full UK driving license is mandatory.
