Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Malvern College. As a key member of our Estates Department, you will be responsible for maintaining the college grounds to the highest standard, ensuring that our facilities are safe and well-maintained for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of sports surfaces, including cricket, athletics, tennis, and rounders in the summer, and rugby, football, hockey, cross-country, and netball in the winter.
  • Perform general upkeep of the school grounds, including mowing, pruning, and weeding.
  • Operate horticultural machinery, including lawn mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Hold a full and valid UK Manual Driving Licence.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in the field of maintaining grounds.
  • Sound knowledge and use of horticultural machinery.
  • The ability to work effectively both individually and as a team.
  • Full and valid UK Manual Driving Licence.
