Job Summary:

Ringway Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drainage Manager to join our Operations Drainage Team in Cheshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering an end-to-end highway drainage service, including routine maintenance, investigations, surveys, repairs, and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Lead a team of supervisors and support staff to plan, programme, and organise delivery on site of the Council's drainage programme, as well as other work streams commissioned by the Operations Team.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure that all projects are developed and delivered safely, on time, and to budget, in accordance with the Works Information, Health and Safety Regulations, and CDM requirements.
  • Supply Chain Management: Review and approve Supply Chain Partners' Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH for all allocated schemes.
  • Site Inductions and Coordination: Conduct site inductions, promoting RJ's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Procedures at all times, and coordinate and integrate resources to deliver projects or programmes.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of the team to ensure they meet monthly requirements agreed in a Performance Management Framework, and complete annual PDRs with the team, setting key objectives that are delivered in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of [X] years of experience working in the construction industry, preferably in highways, with experience in working with highway drainage systems, including maintenance and repair.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate and integrate resources to deliver projects or programmes, and a current, full driving licence.
