We are seeking a highly skilled SEND Key Worker to join our team at Staffordshire Council on a 3-month contract.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Critical Assessment and Planning: Develop education, health & care plans that align with relevant legislation and Code of Practice.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Coordinate support from qualified professionals, including social work, Educational Psychology, Health, and others.
  • Building Inclusive Relationships: Establish strong relationships with individuals with SEND and their families, respecting diversity and supporting choice and independence.
  • Risk Analysis and Management: Identify and manage risks appropriately while developing tailored strategies.
  • Agencies Collaboration: Work with Families First and independent futures to understand needs and enable individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Innovative Solutions: Explore innovative options with individuals and families to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Support Package Arrangement: Arrange suitable support packages, negotiate costs, and allocate funding.
  • Ongoing Case Reviews: Conduct regular case reviews and annual assessments, using evidence to adapt plans and arrangements for achieving outcomes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, professional records of assessments, decisions, and performance data.
  • Quality Assurance: Engage in quality assurance, performance analysis, reflective supervision, and personal development.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with special educational needs. The salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
