Child and Adolescent Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to provide specialist support to children and young people who have been subjected to or are at risk of sexual exploitation.
The successful candidate will work closely with our team of Independent Sexual Violence Advocates (ISVAs) to provide advocacy support for children and young people who have been sexually exploited.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer specialist, boundaried relational and trauma-informed child sexual exploitation (CSE) counselling to children and young people aged 5 to 17 years.
- Provide counselling and wellbeing support to parents, carers, and families who are supporting children and young people subjected to sexual exploitation.
- Develop and deliver a group for supporters (parents, carers, and families) who are supporting children and young people subjected to sexual exploitation.
- Work actively with children and young people subjected to sexual exploitation.
- Offer an environment where children and young people feel safe and secure.
About the Role:
This is an outreach-based role requiring frequent travel across Birmingham to support children and young people in spaces where they feel safe. A small number of hours will be working from our Birmingham City Centre premises.
