About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the Eastern Green Link 2 project, a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Peterhead in Scotland to Drax in England. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering successful project outcomes, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and providing operational, strategic, and contractual direction for the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the project team, ensuring high levels of commitment, morale, and motivation at all levels.
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and contractors, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial control and reliable QF preparation and reporting.
  • Ensure processes are in place for the preparation, review, and briefing of method statements, activity plans, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the supply chain.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a PM or Senior Agent within Civil Engineering contracting.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities commensurate with the role.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the civil construction environment and forms of contract used.
  • Experience working in construction project delivery.
