Substance Misuse Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Misuse Nurse Specialist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide specialist substance misuse care to offenders, working closely with community mental health teams and other specialist services.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for delivering specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions.
You will also contribute to alternatives to inpatient admission and assist with early discharge from in-patient services, ensuring timely delivery of waiting time, assessment, and interventions, and contributing to service performance targets.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will provide comprehensive and timely reports and mental health expertise to multi-agency public protection panels, police, probation services, and court liaison teams.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £38,000 - £44,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a pension scheme.
