About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Automotive Safety Expert to join our esteemed team at Apex Recruitment. This pivotal role entails championing a culture of safety excellence within the automotive sector, fostering a work environment that prioritizes the well-being of our workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically guide EHS initiatives, providing expert advice to stakeholders to promote a culture of safety excellence.
  • Develop and implement corrective action processes to address safety concerns and compliance gaps, transforming them into opportunities for enhancement.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to equip stakeholders with the knowledge and skills necessary to champion safety.
  • Collaborate closely with HSE authorities and insurance agencies to foster relationships that support EHS excellence.
  • Analyze data to drive continuous improvement, optimize resource allocation, and manage PPE inventory effectively.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, collaborate with operations teams, and ensure documentation is updated to address evolving business needs.
Requirements
  • Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position, preferably from an automotive or engineering/manufacturing background.
  • Prior experience with COSHH regulations, particularly in relation to paint and chemicals.
  • Experience in maintaining and developing H&S policies.
