About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Environmental Specialist to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on environmental matters related to nuclear sites.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on environmental matters related to nuclear sites.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and engagement.
  • Manage and coordinate environmental projects and activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in an appropriate environmental, physical science or engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience in a comparable role, with a good working knowledge of relevant regulations for nuclear site permitting and operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor outputs to different stakeholders.
  • Good people skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to colleagues and stakeholders.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Actively pursuing or already hold relevant Chartership.
  • Recognised technical leadership within the industry.
  • Practical experience of environmental management on nuclear sites.
  • Willingness to travel on business, including sites across the UK and overseas.
