We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our Family Safeguarding Service in Preston. This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position that offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with families to safeguard children.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with a caseload of 15 families, providing collaborative psychosocial interventions to support parents with mental health difficulties. This role is ideal for an organized, reflective, and energetic individual who is passionate about working with families to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions in a time-limited framework
  • Assess and support families with mental health difficulties that impact their ability to safeguard their children
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service
Requirements
  • Recognized Core Mental Health Professional Qualification (e.g. RMN, SW, OT)
  • Post-qualification experience of clinical work with service users experiencing mental health problems
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health problems and issues that impact upon people with mental health problems
