About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service as a Band 5 Community Mental Health Professional. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health care to women experiencing mental health difficulties during the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialist assessments of women referred to the service and develop individualized care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with senior clinicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
  • Manage a caseload of complex packages of care for mothers and infants, ensuring effective coordination and communication with service users and other professionals.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to colleagues, promoting professional development and best practice.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a quality region-wide perinatal service, contributing to the building of local care networks for mothers across the Lancashire and South Cumbria Region.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year's post-graduate experience in a mental health setting at Band 5 and above.
  • Ability to demonstrate a broad range of therapeutic clinical skills and experience of providing clinical supervision.
  • Experience of community care coordination and working with complex packages of care.
  • High level of written skills and ability to compile reports, assessments, and maintain detailed and accurate service user records.
