The School District No. 62 (Sooke) is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Indigenous Education Administrative Assistant. This position will provide administrative support to the NA'TSAMHT Department, ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the NA'TSAMHT Department, including preparing agendas, minutes, and meeting arrangements
  • Organize travel arrangements and registration for events
  • Prepare and support with Mileage & Travel Expense forms
  • Send letters and memos on behalf of the board to I.E.C. members, governments, and organizations
  • Assist in the production of Ministry Reports, including Local Education Agreement (LEA) reports, BCTEA Transportation Reports, NA'TSAMHT Enhancement Agreement Report, Equity in Action report, Feeding Futures and Student & Family Affordability Report

This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in office administration and experience working in an Indigenous context. Salary: $33.34 per hour, commensurate with experience.
