Regulatory Capacity Strengthening Programme Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Capacity Strengthening Programme Manager to join our Partnerships and Strategy Team within the Partnerships group at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a sustainable model for the MHRA's regulatory capacity strengthening offer, working with international partners such as the WHO, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and interested UK Government departments and NHS bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing a sustainable model for MHRA's regulatory capacity strengthening work, based on clear understanding of global and UK priorities and MHRA's resource and technical capacity.
  • Delivering specific ICRECH proposals under a Gates Foundation funded programme.
  • Demonstrable experience of international development programme management, including financial management, preferably including working to UK FCDO programme requirements.
What We Offer

We offer a full-time opportunity on a 2-year fixed term contract/internal move or temporary promotion basis. The role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. We are also open to requests for part-time or job shares.

We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business.
