Job Title: FLT Operative

We are seeking an experienced FLT Operative to join our warehouse team in Wincanton, Somerset. As a FLT Operative, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to move materials around the warehouse
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on the forklift to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and maintaining accurate records
  • Organize and stack goods in designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including packing, labeling, and general housekeeping
Requirements:
  • Valid Forklift License (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred)
  • Proven experience as an FLT Operative in a warehouse or similar environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items
  • Be adaptable, able to work 3 shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) and occasional Saturdays
