Stroke Rehabilitation Therapist

The Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust provides specialist rehabilitation services for individuals who have experienced a stroke. As a Stroke Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and neuropsychologists. We work closely with adult community therapies to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
The team offers a range of services, including in-service team training, effective supervision, and external training opportunities. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced occupational therapist who wishes to develop their skills in stroke specialist rehabilitation.
The services are located near Enfield Town, with easy access to central London and Hertfordshire. A car driver is essential for this role.
Main Duties:
- To perform comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions following a stroke.
- To deliver high-quality occupational therapy care to individuals and their carers in the community.
- To hold responsibility for own caseload and deliver a range of occupational therapy interventions and support to patients and their carers.
- To contribute to the delivery of health promotion activities within the service and wider Trust initiatives.
- To provide cover for other occupational therapists in the service as required.
