Job Title: Strategic Planning Director

We are a dynamic and growing planning consultancy based in Oxfordshire. Our team includes experienced planners and partners who deliver high-quality planning services across residential, industrial, commercial, and educational projects.

Role Overview

As Strategic Planning Director, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, provide leadership to our planning team, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to the planning team and the wider company.
  • Oversee project management across multiple sectors.
  • Lead business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding client base.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, developers, and key stakeholders.

Project Management

  • Lead planning application preparation, submission, and negotiation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Oversee production of high-quality planning reports, statements, and supporting documents.

Candidate Profile

We seek someone with:

  • A degree in Town Planning or related field.
  • Extensive experience in a planning consultancy or local authority environment, with a track record of leading complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, including experience across multiple sectors.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
