We are seeking an experienced financial control coordinator to join our team in a tranquil, remote location. As a credit controller, you will be responsible for managing the credit control duties, including contacting customers, resolving queries, and chasing debt using stages of credit control techniques based upon the ageing of debt.

About the Role

  1. You will provide timely updates to the finance director, director of operations, and head of operations on debt, with steps taken on significant aged debt.
  2. You will produce reports using accurate information gained from the accounting system, with assistance from the accounts team if required.
  3. You will assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts packs and year-end audit regarding updates to the board/auditors of the position of aged debt and likely recovery.
  4. You will distribute all necessary letters/correspondence in relation to credit control, being the company focal point for any external credit companies and solicitors engaged to recover debts.

Requirements

  • Prior experience of credit control, particularly within a small business/dealing with personal debt collection.
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets, Word, and email applications.
  • Strong planning & organisational skills and management of own time.
