Assistant Domestic Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Domestic Manager to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of domestic supervisors and ensuring that cleaning services are delivered to the highest standards. This will involve monitoring cleaning standards, conducting mandatory training, and liaising with ward managers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Allocate tasks and responsibilities to the domestic supervisory team
- Liaise daily with Ward Managers to resolve difficulties and build good working relationships
- Attend meetings with Control of Infection, Matrons, and Site Management to assist in effective communications
- Carry out regular Supervisor 1-1 meetings to communicate the Trust's aims and objectives
- Control staffing worked hours and ensure labour hours are kept within the master rota
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance and conduct investigations into accidents
- Develop and document Risk Assessments and ensure all machinery is safely maintained
- Assist the Domestic Services Manager with the day-to-day management of external contracts
- Be flexible in working hours to carry out duties to sustain operational demands
- Ensure all staff mandatory training is completed as per required compliance
- Ensure all areas are appropriately staffed in accordance with the master rota
We are looking for an individual with:
- HND or equivalent in a relevant area
- Supervisory or management qualification or equivalent
- Experience of domestic services management
- Experience of working as a cleaning operative within a non-healthcare environment
