About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Royal London Group. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing efficient solutions that meet business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop complex software solutions within your area of technical expertise.
  • Conduct impact assessments of complex changes to existing applications.
  • Document and agree on design in advance and to agreed standards.
  • Ensure all code meets Group standards, guidelines, and quality gates for given technology.
  • Thoroughly test all code to identify any issues early on, working closely with the test team.
  • Safely implement solutions to production environment(s).
  • Collaborate closely with other team members.
  • Contribute to software development practice by sharing ideas and experience.
  • Review the work of others.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with.NET is essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud is highly preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of one or more programming languages.
  • The ability to work without supervision.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Awareness of agile development practices.
  • Familiarity with automated testing techniques and frameworks.
