About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MET Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group. As an MET Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, and trim components of various vehicle makes and models.
- Carry out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs.
- Dismantle vehicles ready for the panel shop.
- Carry out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
- Order replacement parts.
- Re-assemble the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition.
- Ensure all work meets the company's quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the wider team regarding the status of repairs.
About You
You will have significant experience as an MET from an accident repair background, with high attention to detail and the ability to work skilfully and safely under pressure.
Requirements
- Ability to plan your workload efficiently and effectively so that vehicles are ready to agreed timescales.
- Complete your work in line with manufacturers specifications.
- Ability to work as part of the team, as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in your approach, always working to high standards and with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Follow Health & Safety guidelines at all times, including ensuring a clean and tidy work area and wearing appropriate PPE.
