About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Static Mobile Mechanic to join our team at Dawsongroup plc. As a key member of our fleet repair operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vans and other company equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance of commercial vans and cars, as well as other company equipment.
  • Carrying out vehicle inspections and MOT checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensuring that all routine maintenance or repair work is accurately documented and reported in a timely manner.
  • Reporting defective tools or workshop equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensuring that safe working practices are observed at all times, adhering to retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds or similar qualification in motor vehicle technology.
  • Attended a mechanical engineering course.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Good working knowledge of tyres.
  • A clean driving licence is highly desirable.
