Paediatric Neurologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Neurologist to join our team at Evelina London Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing acute and chronic neuro-disabling conditions, with a special interest in movement disorders.

The role involves supporting the neurosciences department in providing in-patient neurology services, including a weekly interventional Botulinum Toxin injection list. You will also contribute to the delivery of rehabilitation services following acute brain injury and work closely with the consultant and AHP team in the Complex Movement Disorders Service.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage patients with complex disabling neurological disorders, including those requiring continuous intrathecal baclofen (ITB) pump implantation and deep brain stimulation (DBS) neuromodulation.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new treatments and therapies for paediatric movement disorders.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to children and families affected by neurodisability.

Requirements:

• On GDC/GMC Specialist Register for Paediatric Neurodisability or within six months of attaining CCT or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a tertiary UK movement therapy centre, offering interventions such as botulinum toxin injections, or patient selection and management of ITB or DBS.
• Previous experience/commitment to Tertiary Paediatric neurodisability service.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, with an estimated salary of £125,000 - £175,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave and professional development opportunities.
