- Develop and implement activities and workshops for our 'Looked After' and birth children to promote their well-being and engagement.
- Plan and coordinate family events and days out to foster positive relationships and a sense of community.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, foster parents, external professionals, and multi-agency networks to ensure effective collaboration and support.
- Attend meetings with professionals from education, health, and social services sectors to support our children and young people's care plans.
- Assess, review, and report on the effectiveness of our participation initiatives, maintaining accurate records and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with professional practice standards, legislation, and company policy, including confidentiality, GDPR, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Provide guidance and support to our families, promoting the stability of foster placements and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Significant professional childcare experience, with a focus on fostering and child development.
- Relevant qualifications or evidence of formal training in childcare, childhood studies, education, social work, youth work, community work, and/or psychology.
- Proven ability to build rapport with adults and children with diverse needs and expectations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, in emotionally challenging situations, and when dealing with difficult behavior.
- Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, with costs met by Orange Grove Fostercare.
