About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Solutions Architect to join our team at Pharmanovia. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our SAP S4 Hana ERP system.

Your primary focus will be on guiding our leadership and business teams in formulating clear, adoptable approaches for improving our SAP ERP. You will design efficient, scalable, and capable SAP systems that handle complex business processes, manage third-party dependencies, and provide project status reports to our leadership and business colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing technical architecture analysis, research, design, and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems
  • Designing new solution extensions based on business requirements
  • Providing architecture and design guidance to the outsourced development team
  • Building and managing a team of vendors, partners, and engineering resources to develop, configure, and implement solutions as per product development best practices to meet business requirements
  • Monitoring the work of the outsourced technical team and ensuring standards are adhered to in accordance with SAP's Solution Extensions
  • Ensuring technical integrity of projects, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged, and that work is not duplicated
  • Working with and advising the Quality team on the design of test plans, test cases, and on automation
  • Participating in product roadmap and product strategy definition
  • Helping and reviewing the creation of training, product, and solution documentation
  • Coordinating with other technical teams to ensure compatibility with other components of Pharmanovia's technology stack interface with SAP
  • Holding self and others accountable to committed deadlines and ensuring successful deliverables
  • Taking an active role in the development of other team members
  • Engaging with leading customers and strategic partners to identify and validate requirements and translate to solution design
  • Leading the team in driving and delivering customer solutions
  • Performing integration architecture and infrastructure design activities
  • Participating in resolving technology integration problems
  • Acting as a mentor, coach, and providing training to internal team and consultants by sharing solution and technical expertise
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication throughout projects
  • Must be hands-on with development and ABAP / Basis as needed to support project timelines and objectives
About You:
  • BSc Degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 6+ years' work experience in SAP product consulting, systems integration, or architect roles
  • Good understanding of SAP best practices
  • Expertise in ABAP development with a very good understanding of SAP modules such as Finance, MM, PP, QM, SD, PLM, and APO
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) based design & development and ABAP Restful Programming Model
  • Experience with SAP BW, BW/4HANA would be advantageous
  • Experience with Java-based development is a plus
  • Expert in analysing, creating system specifications, and developing tests and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies
  • Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications
  • Experience with SAP security concepts and must have implemented authorisation checks in ABAP objects
  • Experience in working with SAP Cloud technologies like SAC and other SAP Cloud technologies
  • Expertise in doing Solution demos and presentations to customers/business stakeholders/architects
  • Experience with Data Masking, Data Anonymisation techniques
  • Good understanding of SAP architecture and technical data flow of SAP business processes
  • Experience managing projects and working with a team of engineers
  • Proficient in performance tuning to deliver optimised solutions
  • Exposure to compliance regulations like GDPR, ITAR and Export Compliance
  • Ability to assess and manage/notify technical risks and issues to the manager
  • Confidence in reporting both verbally and in writing to executive level
  • Great communication skills and proven ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
