HGV Mechanic Role
We're looking for an skilled mechanic to join our logistics team as an HGV Mechanic. As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in keeping our vehicles on the road by carrying out routine maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on HGVs
- Repair and maintain light vans, tractor units, and trailers
- Work collaboratively with other mechanics to meet maintenance targets
What You'll Get:
- A competitive basic salary of £16,598, increasing yearly to £31,117
- Overtime at time and a half
- 4-year apprenticeship with college modules and on-the-job training and experience
- Industry-leading training, including electric vehicle training and workshop manager qualification
- Opportunities to progress with our 'promotion from within' policy
- General tool allowance of £30 per month gross
Required Skills:
- Experience as an HGV mechanic
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- C1, 7.5-tonne licence would be a bonus but isn't essential
