About the Role

Safran Seats GB is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Lead to join our team in Cwmbran, Wales. As a key member of our Technical Domain, you will be responsible for effective planning and execution of engineering projects to meet or exceed performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the IPT in identifying project risk, mitigation actions, and contingency plans
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Track progress of project tasks across multi-functional engineering teams
  • Resolve schedule conflicts and develop technical solutions with inputs from Technical Functional teams
  • Provide clear project status both internally and to the customer
  • Track performance against budget for NRC and RC
  • Manage technical requirements relevant to project scope, through a systems engineering approach
  • Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process

Requirements

  • HNC/HND within a related Engineering discipline is essential
  • Engineering Degree within an Aerospace related discipline desirable
  • Previous experience managing multi-functional teams, including within a remote working setting
  • Good understanding of certification framework and Aircraft Interiors
  • Awareness of configuration management principles and change management processes
  • Experienced in preparation of business cases or bids for new programmes, including Technical specification preparation
  • Understanding of financial management within a new product development environment

Location

The role is based in Cwmbran, Wales, with occasional travel required to international locations.
