We are seeking a talented SEO Lead to join our Digital Marketing Team. This is a permanent role that can be based in Edinburgh or London.

About the Role

This position will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital marketing efforts by optimizing our online presence to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic for our Corporate and Business line audiences. You will collaborate with content creators to optimize content for SEO, including training, keyword integration, content quality, and user experience. You will also work with our technical SEO partner to implement site improvements to enhance performance, indexing, and crawlability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Optimization - Collaborate with content creators to optimize content for SEO, including training, keyword integration, content quality, and user experience.
  2. Technical SEO - Work with our technical SEO partner to implement site improvements to enhance performance, indexing, and crawlability.
  3. SEO Optimisation Backlog - Develop and run the backlog for On-Page and Off-Page performance, implementing SEO best practices to enhance website content, meta tags, and backlink profiles.
  4. Content Strategy - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop comprehensive content strategies that align with business objectives and target audience interests.
  5. Keyword Research - Conduct keyword research to identify high-value, relevant keywords and topics that can drive organic traffic.
  6. Content Creation - Create compelling, well-researched content optimized for search engines, including website copy, blog posts, emails, articles, and social media content.
  7. On-Page Optimization - Optimize on-page elements such as meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and URLs to improve search visibility and click-through rates.
  8. Stay Up-to-Date - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm updates to ensure content strategies remain effective and compliant with best practices.
  9. Collaboration - Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines and user experience goals.
  10. Performance Evaluation - Continuously evaluate and iterate on content strategies based on performance data and feedback.
  11. SEO Techniques - Implement on-page and off-page SEO techniques to drive organic traffic.

About the Candidate Requirements

  1. Experience - Experience of digital copywriting and SEO in financial services with a focus on asset management.
  2. UX Writing - Familiarity with UX writing principles and its impact on user engagement.
  3. UX Tools - Experience using UX tools like Figma.
  4. Content Design - Proven experience as a content designer and digital copywriter with a focus on SEO.
  5. SEO Knowledge - Extensive knowledge of both on and off-page optimization.
  6. Conversion Rate Optimization - Experience in providing content for conversion rate optimization and personalization.
  7. SEO Metrics - Proven track record developing and reporting on key SEO metrics, such as organic traffic, rankings, and conversions.
  8. SEO Tools - Proficiency with SEO tools like SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
  9. Culture - Demonstration of collaborative stakeholder management that has led to implementing results-driven SEO and content strategies.
  10. CMS Systems - Knowledge and experience of working with CMS systems, preferably Sitecore.
  11. Soft Skills - Excellent presentation, organizational, and project management skills.
  12. Global Matrix Environment - Experience working in a global matrix environment and driving a culture of agility and innovation.
  13. Search Engine Algorithms - Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and SEO best practices.
  14. Writing and Editing - Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  15. Collaboration - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
