Product Developer Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate individual to join our Merchandising team as a Trainee Merchandiser. In this role, you will support the Merchandising team in landing the stock strategy, aligning with the planning of the Business/Trading teams.
Key Responsibilities- Analyzing previous sales history, reviewing size ratios, and identifying best & worst sellers.
- Gaining a commercial understanding of product ranges and assessing stores & competitors.
- Providing administrative support surrounding trading meetings such as best and worst seller identification and sample gathering.
- Supporting the management of continuity stock.
- Negotiating handover dates with suppliers and highlighting issues to the Merchandiser.
- Updating delivery schedules and systems to reflect the latest delivery position.
- Ensuring all department Purchase Orders are created accurately and in line with the Critical Path.
- Preparing trackers for Progress Meetings to ensure problems are dealt with promptly and effectively.
- Updating systems with guidance: loads grading, sizing, lead times, product information etc.
- Collating and preparing information for supplier visits and meetings.
This is a full-time role based at our Market Harborough, Leicestershire Head Office. You must be willing to be present in the office 5 days per week.

From a technical and operational perspective, it would be advantageous if you have:
- Work experience or relevant degree in Merchandising/Finance/Business...
- You're someone who takes time to fully understand the process – who puts in extra effort to make sure work meets the required standard.
- Adaptive and able to effectively work at pace.
- A high level of attention and accuracy with ability to retain information.
- Awareness of and genuine enthusiasm for the Joules brand.
- Analytical and mathematically minded.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
