Financial Services Management Accountant

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is a leading provider of digital, cyber, and intelligence solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Management Accountant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver accurate and consistent management reporting information to meet the needs of the business.
  2. Monitor financial performance and provide independent and robust financial challenge.
  3. Reconcile financial reports to source ledgers to ensure data integrity.
  4. Initiate continual review and improvement of processes and procedures to ensure financial control requirements are met.
  5. Resolve problems to ensure management reporting timescales are met.
  6. Provide financial support to resolve complex issues.
  7. Take responsibility for decisions that impact business performance.
  8. Prepare and process ad hoc/correction journals as required.

Balance Sheet Responsibilities

  1. Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations relating to Accruals and Prepayments.
  2. Investigate risks and opportunities arising from Balance Sheet reconciliation.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and assist with liaising with Order Management team to set up WBS codes.
  2. Support Cost accounting team with other tasks as required.

Requirements

  1. Understand and apply Finance Policy Manual (FPM) Accounting Policies.
  2. Support delivery of Finance Control Framework (FCF) compliance.
  3. Ensure Audit Compliance.
  4. Develop a good working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Adaptive, and Cognos.
  5. Understand end-to-end Cost accounting processes and key controls.
  6. Continually drive personal development training plan.
  7. Team player with a flexible approach that allows for working with others across the Function.
  8. A willingness to seek process performance improvement.
