A leading defence organisation in Bolton is seeking a skilled Plastics Production Specialist to fill an initial 12-month contract.

The hourly rate is £23.91ph, increasing to £25.26ph after 12 weeks. Overtime hours exceeding 37 hours are paid at the normal hourly rate plus 50%.

Job Requirements:

Experience with Microelectronics is essential, specifically soldering under a microscope. A background in manufacturing environments is also required.

The successful candidate will perform manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business, adhering to product certification procedures, defined workmanship standards, allocated budgets, and timescales to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute detailed standard assembly/manufacturing activities, meeting requisite procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and timescales.
  2. Contribute to efficient workflow and information movement in the manufacturing area.
  3. Adhere to agreed standards and behaviours in all activities.
  4. Maintain compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:

IPC 610 certification or training is desirable.

  3. Capacity to follow instructions
  4. Flexibility to work non-traditional shift patterns
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Self-motivation to work independently with minimal supervision
  7. ESD training

  9. Colophony health surveillance awareness

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
