About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our Clinical Governance team as a Professional Standards Pharmacist. This is a maternity cover position that offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and standard operating procedures aimed at managing risk and improving clinical care.
  • Review and implement ongoing clinical governance requirements to ensure all branches are compliant with the NHS Terms of Service.
  • Ensure professional standards within branches are in line with GPhC Standards of Performance, Conduct and Ethics.
  • Deputise for the Superintendent Pharmacist as needed.
  • Support pharmacy teams with GPhC inspections or NHSE CPAF visits.
  • Analyse incident management information to identify trends and improve professional standards and minimise risk.
  • Provide expert pharmacy practice and ethical advice to the pharmacy/central/field teams.
  • Support in the development and implementation of GDPR and Information Governance policies to ensure compliance across the group.
  • Support in the implementation of Health and Safety policies and completion of associated risk assessments.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role focusing on clinical governance.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and law.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with retail stores and leadership teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally.
