Mental Health Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity in East London

Join NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a dedicated Mental Health Consultant Psychiatrist in our East London team.
We are committed to delivering exceptional care to the communities we serve across North East London, Essex, and Kent. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical support to patients with mental health needs.
The post is based at Barking Community Hospital, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care services. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting our team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing senior medical guidance and support to the team
- Working directly with adults and their families, liaising with external providers and acute hospitals as needed
- Participating in the on-call rota, with a frequency of 1:50 and a 3% Category A on-call supplement
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- CCT or equivalent
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
- Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it
- Inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Estimated salary: £105,000 - £139,000 per annum (pro-rata). The exact salary will depend on your experience and qualifications. We believe in paying competitive salaries that reflect the value you bring to our organization.
