We are seeking a skilled Employment Advisor to join our team at Newground Together, a leading charity supporting people in their local community. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to access employment opportunities and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver employment support services to clients, addressing barriers to employment and providing guidance on training and development opportunities.
- Work closely with local businesses and employers to promote our client base and services, and identify new employment opportunities.
- Recruit and retain clients in employability projects, encouraging participation in workshops, job clubs, and one-to-one sessions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other professionals in the employment, welfare, and training sectors.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license.
- Relevant experience or qualifications, such as IAG Level 2 or Coaching/Mentoring certification.
- Experience working with clients aged 16+ years, supporting them to gain employment or training.
- Proven ability to work with clients facing multiple barriers, and develop effective solutions to support their employment goals.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate for clients and negotiate with employers.
