Estimator Position in Bespoke Furniture Industry

We are recruiting a Junior Estimator to provide accurate cost estimates for various projects.

About the Role:

  • Assist in preparing and submitting detailed project estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Analyse project requirements, interpret technical drawings, and assess materials and labour needs.
  • Collaborate with the design, procurement, and project teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Support in evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes and determining cost-effective options.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of past project costs and industry pricing trends.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss estimates and address any questions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals and tender submissions.

Requirements:

  • NVQ, HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant field with an interest in an estimating role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Well organised and punctual individual.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a starting salary of £23,000 per annum, plus 23 days holiday and bank holidays. We also offer a company pension scheme and opportunities for progression.
