Senior Technical Sales Engineer Opportunity

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. As a Senior Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing customer accounts in the UK and overseas, preparing costings and proposals to support bidding work undertaken by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a logical and professional manner, providing clear objective support to the Sales Manager and Site Director.
  • Provide key support in maintaining and expanding the sale of the Company's Products into all sectors of the LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Utilities and associated Industries.
  • Take ownership of key customer accounts in the UK and overseas.
  • Prepare quotes and major tenders, including responsibility for creation and maintenance of a robust costing file in Microsoft Excel, ERP System or other systems as required.
  • Follow-up quotations with customers after submission and provide feedback as necessary to the business, enabling effective forecasting of sales pipeline opportunities.
  • Review and interpret customer specifications, applying the relevant components to the project, including piping specification and international standards as required.
  • Compile detailed technical and commercial documents required for the manufacture of Filtration systems and their sub-components.
  • Convert quotations to orders, including producing commercial and technical order handover packs, manufacturing schedules & production reports at order placement.
  • Assist other sales personnel and departments as requested according to the needs of the business.
Requirements:
  • HNC/ Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Understanding of FEA Autodesk simulation Mechanical or other FEA software.
  • Solid proven sales experience.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide.
