Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

**Salary:** £65,000 per annum

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Digital Waffle. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and microservices-based applications.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  1. **Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure:** Collaborate with our development teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  2. **CI/CD Pipeline Management:** Work closely with our development teams to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes and ensuring seamless integration with our cloud infrastructure.
  3. **Microservices Architecture:** Manage and optimize our microservices architecture for performance, reliability, and scalability, ensuring our technology solutions remain cutting-edge.
  4. **Troubleshooting and Support:** Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  5. **Monitoring and Logging:** Implement best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting, ensuring our cloud infrastructure and applications are always running smoothly.
  6. **Staying Up-to-Date:** Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation in our cloud infrastructure and applications.
  7. **Collaboration and Communication:** Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize system architecture for maximum efficiency, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the organization.
**Requirements:**
  1. **Proven Experience:** Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist or DevOps Engineer in a cloud environment, with a strong focus on AWS.
  2. **Expertise in Microservices:** Expertise in microservices architecture and Spring framework, with a strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools.
  3. **Scripting and Automation:** Proficiency in scripting and automation, with experience in tools such as Python, Bash, and Terraform.
  4. **CI/CD Tools:** Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and Travis CI.
  5. **Excellent Problem-Solving and Communication Skills:** Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
