Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer/SRE who is passionate about AWS, Spring, Microservices, DevOps, and Architecture. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Digital Waffle and contribute to the development of our cloud infrastructure and microservices-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, build, and maintain our AWS-based cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
  2. Collaborate closely with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
  3. Manage and optimise microservices architecture for performance and reliability.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  5. Implement best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  6. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise system architecture for maximum efficiency.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience as a Software Engineer/SRE in a cloud environment, with a strong focus on AWS.
  2. Expertise in microservices architecture and Spring framework.
  3. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
  4. Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  5. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  6. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
  7. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
