Job Summary
New Barn School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for leading the teaching and coordination of flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individuals and groups of pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a varied range of subjects to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.
- Prepare, plan and assess teaching sessions, maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments.
- Write and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment and setting challenging yet achievable targets.
- Build relationships with all young people, encouraging their interest and participation in their education.
- Create an environment that is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings.
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
- Have a background of teaching a range of subjects at Primary Level, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level.
- Knowledge of current education issues in relation to terms of practice, process and curriculum.
- Experience in working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils and young people with challenging behaviour (SEMH/EBD).
