About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler System Designer and Consultant to join our team in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to work on various sectors of Main Contract projects, designing and programming sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the design of sprinkler systems through coordination with client representatives and other service contracts, resulting in a final scheme.
  • Contribute to the design programme by monitoring progress against the construction programme and specification requirements.
  • Issue all completion documents and certification.
  • Obtain necessary information from relevant parties for the preparation of fully designed working drawings.
  • Attend site meetings independently when design matters are on the agenda.
  • Prepare complete working drawings in accordance with design codes, including hydraulic calculations.
  • Generate material lists for procurement, estimating variations, and scheduling rates.
  • Forward drawings and quantities to suppliers and subcontractors for procurement purposes.
  • Perform other activities as instructed by the Project Manager or Design Manager.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a design engineering role within the sprinkler industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with LPC BS EN 12845 rules.
  • LPCB Intermediate qualification and LPCB Full Hydraulic Calculation qualification (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in using Autocad, with Revit 3D experience being highly desirable.
  • Experience with Full Hydraulic Calculation software, preferably Canute.
  • Familiarity with Factory Mutual Standards and NFPA standards.
  • HND or Degree qualification in a construction or engineering design-related topic.
  • Experience in managing, developing, mentoring, and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A full driving license and flexibility regarding travel and working hours.
About the Benefits

As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary, ranging from £55,000 to £75,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
