Main Responsibilities
  • Developing a Digital Vision: You will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that harnesses the power of technology to enhance clinical processes, improve quality and safety, and drive efficiency.
  • Clinical Safety and Governance: You will ensure the clinical safety of systems and processes, from design to implementation, and provide strategic direction on information governance and clinical records.
  • Leadership and Management: You will lead and manage key clinical informatic functions, including Clinical & Digital Information, Information Governance, and Directory of Services.
About Us

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24/7 emergency services to those in need of medical treatment and transport. Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and transport them to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for patients who require assistance due to their medical condition or clinical need.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Excellent Leadership Skills: Ability to collaborate with digital and clinical colleagues to achieve a shared vision.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to set and implement long-term plans to achieve objectives and targets.
  • Programme and Project Management: Highly developed skills in managing risks and delivering successful change to critical digital systems.
  • Clinical Informatics Expertise: Significant experience and understanding of the value that digital technology and information brings to improving quality of care, outcomes, and efficiency.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements around information governance and clinical records.
