About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our alternative learning environment initiative. As Chief Information Officer/IT Director, you will play a key role in launching a new hybrid curriculum that combines online learning, in-person tuition, and outdoor activities to support young people who are unable to access traditional educational settings.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in ICT curriculum development, particularly in Primary and Secondary education. They will also have a strong background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be qualified as a teacher with QTS or QTLS.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our Headteachers to improve the quality of education across all our schools. You will also lead the development of the ICT SEND curriculum and act as a Lead Practitioner for the group, providing support and guidance to ICT teachers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Launch the alternative education model, taking a strategic lead for ICT
  • Assist the Headteacher with recruiting tutors
  • Design innovative ways to offer a bespoke curriculum based on individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with Local Authorities to develop a high-quality provision
  • Lead the development of the ICT SEND curriculum
  • Act as a Lead Practitioner for the group, offering support and guidance to ICT teachers
  • Work with Headteachers to improve the quality of education across all our schools
  • Support students accessing alternative education, including designing a bespoke timetable
