Insurance Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Underwriter to join our Underwriting (Motor Trade) team at Howden Group Holdings. As an Assistant Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality administrative support to the team, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of motor insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and handle all work promptly and accurately.
- Handle all queries in a professional manner and process effectively in line with service standards.
- Produce accurate and professional documentation.
- Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers and issue of revised documentation.
- Accurate population of rating and document generation tools.
- Refer all queries that fall outside own experience, knowledge, and authority to senior staff.
- A minimum of 12 months insurance experience is required for this role.
- Customer-focused approach, with administrative skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Good literacy and numeracy.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- A levels (desirable).
