About this role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Culture and Heritage. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for leading our culture and heritage service, which includes an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and several arts and heritage assets.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering inclusive and sustainable services, with a strong understanding of the creative sector and its impact on residents' lives. You will be able to engage and communicate effectively with our community, funders, and stakeholders across both public and private spheres.

About you

You will need to be passionate about connecting people with opportunities and delivering inclusive and sustainable services. You'll have ideally successfully led culture, heritage or creative programmes and have a great understanding of the creative sector and the positive impact it can have on our residents' lives.

Dynamic and driven, you will know how to deliver results in a financially sustainable way. You will be able to engage and communicate with clarity to build strong relationships with our community, funders and our stakeholders across both public and private spheres.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the culture and heritage service, including an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and several arts and heritage assets

• Deliver inclusive and sustainable services, with a strong understanding of the creative sector and its impact on residents' lives

• Engage and communicate effectively with our community, funders, and stakeholders across both public and private spheres

• Work closely with colleagues in public health and employment to ensure that opportunities in the sector can make real, positive change to many aspects of our residents' lives
